ESS Krångel Nordic Vintage Star Challenge 24-26.5.2024
Krångel Challenge is a unique weekend regatta organized by Ekenäs Segelssällskap (ESS) in the heart of the beautiful small town of Tammisaari (in swedish Ekenäs). The regatta has been arranged since 2016 and is sailed in a unique Finnish Inshore Coastal environment just outside of historical Ekenäs old town and the, on poles built, restaurant Knipan, where the regatta dinner on Saturday evening is held. The results of the regatta are calculated and prizes are awarded for all boats together and also separately for boats with hull numbers under 7000.

2024In 2024 the regatta was sailed May 24-26 with 13 participating boats, 6 classic boats, of which 5 wooden vintage boats and 7 modern star boats. Seven (7) races were sailed in excellent conditions with very light to moderate winds.
- Owerall winner and Finnish champions in Star class: Kalle Pihl and Andy Nyström with 7404. - Classic series winner (6th overall): Rubin SWE 4191, Mia & Henrik Widstrand. The women only crewed (FIN 7803) Heta Järvimaa-Luoto and Helena Skogman were on a fine 8th place overall in their first ever Star race. For the total results visit Manage2Sail
